Andre Reed helps raise record $

KPA Sponsor of the Boys & Girls Club of Los Cruces Annual Breakfast

Andre Reed (left with Keith Padgett), NFL Hall of Fame and BGC America Hall of Fame, was the Keynote Speaker at the event which netted a record $41,500 for Boys & Girls Club of Los Cruces.

KPA was hired in February to Stabilize and Strengthen the current situation in El Paso with Board, staff, community and donors and to evaluate and recommend a path forward for The Boys & Girls Clubs of El Paso (BGCEP). We are very proud of our progress in that regard and excited to share how we (board, staff and stakeholders) stabilized and strengthened the organization in just 3 months and how we have insured a very Bright Future for the organization and the kids BGCEP serves.

Stabilize and Strengthen the current situation
BGCEP Board, Foundation, individual donors and corporations stepped up to be founding members of the “BGCEP Turnaround". We raised over $100,000 from the above sources in a very short period of time.
In addition to dollars, many individuals and corporations pitched in to help (below is just a partial list):

  • Walmart continues to financially support our programs.
  • The Local McDonald’s franchisee continues to serve on the board and financially support the organization.
  • The BGCEL Foundation made a significant contribution to the stabilization and future progress.
  • The El Paso Chihuahuas increased their level of support.
  • SouthWest University completed the new TEEN room at the Petty Branch.
  • Sherwin-Williams agreed to donate paint and supplies to paint the entire outside of the Petty Branch and most of the interior.
  • BGCEP Alumni Association, in addition to increasing this year’s donation,  helped us secure volunteers, equipment and products to revitalize the Baseball/Soccer field at the Delta Branch.
  • We secured a major gift from Herbal Life.
  • We secured volunteers to fix the heat and air conditioning.Bright Future/recommended path forward for success
  • We assessed our opportunities to best serve kids and families in El Paso. We sought partners who are aligned to the values of the Boys and Girls Clubs Movement, and that can support the work of positive youth development.

“We are tremendously grateful for the support of KPA for our Ninth Annual Lou & Mary Henson Community Breakfast.
Keith’s passion for helping young people was obvious from our first meeting, and we were so happy that he could join us for our big event. KPA is one of several new sponsors this year, all of whom helped to make this our most successful breakfast fundraiser to date.”
Ashley Echavarria, CEO BGCLC

"Keith, thank you again for your generous sponsorship and additional contribution. So very much appreciated."
David Dean, President of the Board
